Term 2

Welcome back to Term 2 of 2016.

I trust you were all able to enjoy some quality time during some of the holidays with your child/children.
The weather was amazing which certainly helps!
A class newsletter will be sent home during the first week back to let you know more information about some of our class activities for this term.
Suitable footwear for cross country training will be required as this starts immediately and we do need newspaper for the classroom if you have any to spare.

Cheers

Sue

Tidiest Shoes In The School!

At Birchwood School we leave all our shoes outside the classroom at the door. They are usually reasonably messy but today Josh N and Nick decided in there lunch time to organise everyones shoes neatly at the door. It was a massive surprise for Room 10 to find these tidy shoes. We were so shocked to see those shoes like that when we came back from lunch we thought we would write a blog about our beautiful shoes.

THANK YOU  BOYS!

Chinese with Mrs Chang!

Every Wednesday we have Mrs Chang, she is our Chinese teacher and she has been with us for all of this term. She has been very motivating and encouraging teaching us many words that we had no clue what they meant. Also she taught us numbers up to 100!
Did you know that Chinese use pictures instead of words. Chinese is something that you can't stop learning, there are many things you can learn and as Mrs Chang says, you can't be shy if you raise your hand, and you get it wrong it's ok, thats how you learn. We have to overcome being shy and it's ok to make a mistake.
Chinese has not only taught us a second language but has shown us a new culture. thanks Mrs Chang!!
