New Zealand Sign Classes

Today was our last day for Sign. It has been a great year, lots of learning and communicating. We have a good understanding of the deaf culture now. Thank you so much to Cathy for all our lessons. We have loved it.

Room10 Judo Champion

Jayden achieved a bronze medal in the Central Districts Judo competition. He was competing against other yellow belt competitors and even children with higher belts. Well done Jayden!

 

Room 10s Golfing Champion has done it again!

 Lizzie Neale was awarded the 2014 Junior Best Net trophy in Westport this weekend.

Rockfest 2014

Another amazing day with many bands from many schools sharing their talent.

Birchwood's unplugged item went so well and once again showed the potential of musical talent coming through. Great to see many ex-Birchwood students taking the stage too. 

A great day of listening, sharing and learning. Very inspiring to see the standard of the college  bands performing and the original song writing. Even in the wings they were rockin' it!

A fine effort Birchwood team. Congratulations.

Our Skating Champs

Luke and Zena Denton recently competed in the South Island Skating champs and both have won places in the up and coming National Championship event.
Way to go Luke and Zena!

Beginning our 'Changing' unit

We drew an outline of our right foot, cut it out and placed them in order from smallest to largest. Liam has the smallest foot, Miss Baillie was in the middle and Max has the longest foot. We are now going to measure them to see what the range is in our class. 

Richmond Kids Market

Sophie-Rose and her friends went to the Richmond Kids Market. They sold their homemade wares of hand decorated jars of fudge from their 'Lollilicious' stall making a staggering $160.00 between them.

Miss Baillie's Christmas present is looking promising this year!!! :)
